Since 2001, I have been alternating between freelance work and university teaching and, after an intense teaching activity in various university departments in the Marche, Abruzzo and Emilia Romagna regions, since 2008 I have been contributing to the training of new interpreters on BA and MA degree courses at the Department of Interpretation and Translation (DIT) of the University of Bologna.?Since 2003/2004, I have also been an external translator for the Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) of the European Commission where I have developed, through the thousands of pages translated, an in-depth knowledge in specific fields such as law, economics, agriculture, energy and transport, among others. I have also carried out translation assignments for the Translation Centre for the Bodies of the European Union (CdT) and for several years I have been a court interpreter offering sworn translation and interpretation services.
I am a qualified member of the Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters (AITI) and a membre correspondant of the Association Française des Traducteurs (SFT), because associations contribute to raising awareness of a profession that, although ancient, remains little known to the public in all its complexity and richness.?I firmly believe in the importance of continuous training, not only in the field of translation and interpreting (technological innovation, new practices...) but also in the areas in which I offer services in order to continue to evolve my specialist knowledge.
